The Hacking Elite does, unlike most other 
              groups, care about their members and will do all that is in their 
              power to help them becoming hackers who can do more than run Winnuke 
              or play with Java/Javascript. NO, we don't help you because we're 
              soooooo nice HELL NO....we do it cause we don't want other groups 
              to call the THE a wanna-be club!!! Fancy goin to Cons and being 
              compelled to say 'Duh...I can run wicked Winnuke...' when peepz 
              there ask you what you can do.... The goal of the haqr is to get 
              whatever info he's lookin for, cause the request for free access 
              to all information is THE principle of hacking. If you just want 
              to be ableto send ppl down for reboot you've joined the wrong group....though 
              you will also learn how to do that, you must understand this is 
              NOT what hacking is about. As you're probably new to hacking (which 
              is no shame, everyone has to start somewhere....or do ya think Phiber 
              Optik, haqr god, spring full- grown from a circuit diagram ???) 
              this welcome-letter will give you the info that you'll need to learn 
              the basics (which is much more than most so-called haqrs know).

HOW TO START:

              Read the following text-files: 

              1)Ice Kool's Step by Step guide to become a hacker 

              2)Carolyn Meinel's port surfing tutorial 

              3)Hans Husman's introduction to DoS 

              When you've done reading and understanding, go to the Hackerz Hideout 
              (they got the largest txt list) and go to the Library... there pick 
              whatever you're interested in....

Subscribe to the following mailing lists and read the following 
              magazines....

              I'd suggest you get an extra account for that cause you'll receive 
              tons of mails: 

              1)Happy Hacker list 

              2)Bugtraq list 

              3)CERT list 

              4)Phrack Magazine 

              5)2600 Magazine

VERY IMPORATNT: Unless you can diguise your identity, train 
              on the machines of ppl who've set there systems up for training, 
              or try to break into your own sys...as you gain experience of course 
              you can go hack other machines as well (well this is what hacking 
              really is about) but always remember that it is illegal and you 
              can go to jail for it... so play careful... If possible, get UNIX/LINUX 
              or at least a shell account, cause with Windoze only you may have 
              some probs.... Oh yeah, don't forget one thing...hacking in supposed 
              to be PHUN!! Other ppl collect stamps or go fishing, we break into 
              systems...
